He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Howard Shupe and Doris Louise Shupe (Dooley); and his sister Daral Willeford. He is survived by: his children, Karen Opet and Thomas Howard Shupe II; his daughter-in-law Jil Simon; his grandchildren, Stephen Opet, William Opet and Eleanor Simon-Shupe; and his siblings, Randy Shupe and Carol Grigonis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bel Air-McComas Family Funeral Home (50 W Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Bel Air Memorial Gardens (809 Rock Spring Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014).
