She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Pennington and Vera J. Snead; her siblings, Marie Cary, Penny Hindman, Violet Early, Thelma Laird, Calvin Pennington and Wesley Pennington; her children, Karl Schlachter, III and Pamela Schlachter; and her grandchild EJ Boelzner.

She is survived by: her husband Karl E. Schlachter, Jr.; her siblings, Betty Nicholls and Norman Pennington (Martie); her daughter Heidi Devlin (Vince); her daughter-in-law Nancy Schlachter; her grandchildren, Ryan Boelzner, Karl Schlachter, IV and Kerstin Uzelac; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Boelzner and Conor Boelzner.
