He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Long and Gladys Long; and his wife Mary V. Long. He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria Renehan (Dennis) of Eldorado, MD and Carol Harriday (Darryl) of Ellicott City, MD; his grandchildren, Nicholas Alexander Harriday, Dru Harriday and Georgia Louise Fried; and his sister-in-law Barbara A. Wyatt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and numerous close friends.
