It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel D. Gillespie Jr. of Annapolis, Maryland, who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Thomas Gillespie. He is survived by: his children, Prim Grantham (Tod), Joel Gillespie (Nicole), Nena Willingham (Jeffrey) and Lisa Orozco (Steve); and his sisters, Evelyn Dobbs, Fay Claggett and Yvonne Ashton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hardesty Funeral Home - Annapolis (12 Ridgely Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
