He was predeceased by: his children, David M. Heard and Sallie J. Hodgekinson; his son-in-law Mont Hodgekinson; his grandson Adam Hodgekinson; and his siblings, Merrill Heard, Frank Moseley, John Moseley, Celest Barnes and Vivian Gravitte.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca W. Heard; his daughter-in-law Janet Heard; his granddaughters, Michelle Pepersack and Jeanette Machen; and his great grandchild Nicholas Machen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
