She was predeceased by: her parents, Nancy Jones and Louis Belt; her children, Ronald Turley, Valerie Bostic and Dale Simms; her grandchildren, Toronto Williams, Michael Simms Jr. and Enoch Butler; and her siblings, Melvin Colbert, Rodell Wright, Mary Ann Butler, Carolyn Cook, Janice Jones and Constance Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Simms, Sr. (Vanessa), Rhonda Simms, Larry Simms (Gloria) and Linda Blake (Douglas); her grandchildren, Tracey X Parker (Tiemika), Karl Butler, Jr., Natasha Colbert (Bruce) and Nicole Brown; her great grandchildren, Trayvon Parker, AmiRah Parker, Nardiya Parker, Dashawn Jones, Tracie Parker, Donai'ja Parker, Cincear Parker, Toronto Williams (Tee Tee), Makel Simms, Karly Butler, Cheyenne Colbert, Karon Colbert and D'hani Colbert; her siblings, Carl Jones, Jr. (Connie) and Elizabeth Wheeler (Sylvester); her sisters-in-law, Doris Wright and Novella Jones; her nieces, Deborah McClure, Barbara Butler and Sherrita Matthews; her friends, Patricia Taylor, Flora Ann Taylor, Patricia Foot, Veronica Johnson, Anne Brewer, Glendore Brown, Freeman Johnson, Evelyn Galloway and Christine Buggs; and her pet Scribbles. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
