He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Gover Courtney and Lucy Virginia Courtney; and his brother Donald C. Courtney. He is survived by: his close friend JoAnn Roesler (Jody) of Shady Side, MD; and his brothers, Michael B. Courtney of Arnold, MD and Mark F. Courtney of Forest, VA.. He is also survived by one daughter, five grandchildren.
