He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Nick and Eunice Holland Nick; his grandmother Carrie; his siblings, Bernard, Ellen and Connie; and also, Leon, Jr., Kelly Nick and Kiera Coates.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Downs; his daughters, Jacqueline Nelson (Ricky) and Lisa Queen (Patrick); his stepsons, Troy Nick (Vanessa) and Ronald Nick (Tonia); his siblings, Delores Harley, Carla Gross, Leon Nick and Nelson Nick (Marynett); his brother-in-law William Downs; his close friends, Robert, Elaine Matthews, Hank, Willie Walke, Paige Bowen, Diane Groves, Billy Tucker, Ed Ward, Rond, Catherine Teske, Lynn Parker, Lawrence Offer, Dean and Charisse Jones; and also, Anthony Scott, Dwight Easton and Ronald Nick. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends.
