James Booker wrote a sympathy message

“Capt Ed was one of the greatest men I have ever known. He was my dad’s teacher at southern. He taught my dad how to tie lures and fish. My dad and mom both had a great love for Captain Ed. We would share fishing stories. As a young kid I would ask my dad to look for the Becky D around the bridge so we could say hi . When my dad went into hospice this year one of his last stories he told me before he past was about Captain Ed . RIP Mr Ed Darwin the best fisherman of the Chesapeake bay ! Booker”
