She was predeceased by: her parents, William Addison and Reverend Evelyn Addison; her siblings, Rita Stansbury, Sylvester Johnson and Sheila Pack; and her former husband James Chase.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Washington; her daughter Paula Chase Hyman; her son-in-law Ted Hyman; her granddaughters, Aliyah and Alyssa Hyman; her grandson-in-law Jermaine Wells; her siblings, Olivia Darden, Martha Ann Harris, Janet Hicks, Rick Addison and Michael Addison; her siblings-in-law, Warren Hicks, Randolph Pack, Steve Harris, William Stansbury, Donnie Williams, Laura Williams and Carmela Addison; and her friends, Helen Lincoln, Paulette Brown, Mary Evans, Dee Hall and Hattie Penn. She is also survived by 14 nieces, four nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers Delmar spent the last four years traveling the country watching her granddaughter Alyssa train as a ballet dancer. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in her name to Greater Annapolis Ballet (GAB), a nonprofit ballet school.
