He is survived by: his sons, David L. Kirchner, Jr. of Maryland, Robert "Bob" of Annapolis and Gregory P. Kirchner of Annapolis; and his grandchildren, Gregory, David, Anthony "AJ", Carley Kirchner, Matthew Boebert and Jenny Cameron.
