She is survived by: her son Tracy A. Latney of Annapolis, Maryland; her granddaughters, Taren Latney and Kayla Latney; her great grandchildren, Fortune Scott and Fame Snowden; her nieces, Shametra Hutton and Stacie Hutton; her great-niece Emani Poteat; her great-nephew J'Shawn Holland; her former husband Augustine McGowan; her cousin Charles Barber; her friends, Jean Turner, Lorraine Williams, Ethel Smith, Felicia Walker, Deborah Poole and Carolyn "Peewee" Isaacs; and also Aaliyah Poteat.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah African Methodist Episcopal Church (2204 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at the Bestgate Memorial Park (814 Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401).
