She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Margaret Helen Green Knott and Charles Henry Knott; her stepmother Lina "Gene" Knott; her husband James Patrick Raftery; her children, Charles, Victoria Mackey-Spring (Thomas Spring) of Pinson and Jacqueline Mackey (Garrett Preis) of Great Falls, Virginia; her grandsons, Christopher Mackey (Angie Mackey) and Joshua Mackey; her great grandchildren, Connor, Laila and Kaylin Mackey; and her sister Emma Mumford (Rob Mumford).
