It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Knell Shaffner of Adamstown, Maryland, who passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Anthony Knell Sr. and Gertrude Dietz Knell; her daughter Jane M. Trede (Scott); her husband Robert S. Shaffner; and her siblings, Joseph A. Knell Jr. (Regina) and Anne Kaltenbach (Nicholas).
She is survived by: her son David R. Shaffner (Barbara); her grandchildren, Christopher D. Shaffner, Elizabeth Anne Powell (George) and Michael T. Shaffner; her son-in-law Raymond S. Trede; and her grandson Robert Andrew Trede. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.
