It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Melvin Burner Sr. (Accokeek, Maryland), born in Luray, Virginia, who passed away on July 25, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Burner and Catherine Burner; his wife Joan T. Burner; and his siblings, Randolph Burner, Charlotte Sours, Joe Burner, Vivian Sims, Vincent Burner and Lois Moore.

He is survived by: his son Douglas Melvin Burner Jr. (Rock); and his siblings, Garland Burner, Frances Shackleford and Marion Burner.
