He is survived by: his wife Estelle Lewis Holmes; his daughters, Linda Holmes Pinckney and Wanda Holmes; his grandsons, Matthew "Duke", Charles "Chuck" Pinckney, Nadera and Omar; his great grandchildren, Matthew, II, Micah, Leyla and Mathias; his siblings, Rose Elaine, Eugene and Edna (Red); his niece June Jackson; his nephew Dwaine Ross; his brothers-in-law, Conrad and Van Dyke Lewis; and his close friend Trustee Sedrick Cobey. He is also survived by other nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, including devoted sister.
