It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Phillip Brooks of Belcamp, Maryland, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brooks and Helen Brooks (Roop); his wife Sharon Brooks (Collison); and his son John Patrick Brooks (Sharon). He is survived by: his significant other Marilou Yost; and his children, Thomas L. Sheets, Jr. (Dana), Christopher Odin Brooks (Lisa), Duane Beverly (Karen), Kenneth "Chris" Miller (Michelle), Lisa Michele Beall (Richard Cantu), Melissa May Brooks (Sean Goetz), Amanda Lynn Brooks, Belinda Lee Farmer (David Goodhart) and Aimee Sann (Clayton). He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren. and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Abingdon-McComas Family Funeral Homes (1317 Cokesbury Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Holly Hill Memorial Gardens (10201 Bird River Rd, Baltimore, MD 21220).
