It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Handlir of Abingdon, Maryland, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joann Handlir to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Collins and Ernestine Collins (Stipes); her husband Joseph Handlir, Sr.; and her children, Joseph Handlir Jr. and Marjorie Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa McKinney (Douglass), Diane Anderson, Patricia Wadsworth (Scott), Joel Handlir, Shannon Handlir and David Handlir (Terri). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Family will accept flowers, however if preferred to donate the family requests donations be made to , American Heart Association – Maryland 217 E. Redwood Street 23rd Floor, Baltimore, MD 2120.
