He is survived by: his close friend Pop; his grandson Abingdon; his parents, James Edward Russell Sr. and Jessie Lois Russell (Grier); his wife Mowana Russell; his sons, James and Jeremy Russell; his sisters, Carolyn Russell, Rosalind Fowlkes (Dee), Gwendolyn Russell (Gwyn) and Precious Russell (Patti); and his brothers-in-law, Maurice Wells (Geraldine) of Baltimore, Benson Wells of Baltimore and Joseph Debnam (Linda) of Baltimore.
