She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Piatt and Mary Piatt; and her brother Paul Piatt. She is survived by: her husband Fred Snyder; her children, Brian Snyder and Laura Snyder; and her siblings, Pauline Romanik (late Ted), Bernice Vigil, Raymond Piatt (Theresa) and Robert Piatt (Priscilla). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions in Dorothy's name to the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
