He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio and Enes; his sister Mary Pilla; and his nephews, Mark Pilla and Bruce Pilla.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Silvestri Masciarelli; his children, Anthony Ricci (Michelle), Eric Masciarelli, Jarod Peterson (Lauren) and Lauren Edwards (Jared); his granddaughter Teagan Edwards; and his nephew Jeffrey Pilla.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
