He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Christine Ackerman; his children, Robert Ackerman (Jackie), Mary Christine McKay (Victor), Katherine Brashear (Bill) and Richard Ackerman; his grandchildren, Diana Devereaux (Daniel), Robert Kelbaugh, Jamee Harris, Alyssa Harris and Michael Ackerman; and his great grandchildren, Kara Devereaux and Kadyn Devereaux.
