She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Hooks and William Hooks; her husband Julian Christy; her stepfather Herman Kenly; her children, Janie Pankey, Harrison Harve and Larry Christy; her grandchildren, Edmund Pankey and Oneida Miller; and her siblings, Louis Monk, Ralph Hooks, William Hooks (Billy), James Hooks (Jimmy), Catherine Hooks and Sarah Kenly.
She is survived by: her children, Geraldine Harvey-Miller, Julian Alexander (Zanny) and Gene Darnell Christy; her in-laws, Russel Christy (Dottie), Barbara McCain and Harriett McKinnis; and her grandchildren, Tiah Pankey, Lonnie Fleetwood, Shantel Mosley, Veldez Christy, Julius Christy, Jamar Christy, Xavier Nixon, Autumn Christy, Carmen Harris, Cedric Frazier, Rasheem Christy, Jordan Christy, Mecca Christy and Nobel Christy.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Methodist Church - Swan Creek (700 Old Post Rd, Aberdeen, MD 21001). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
