She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Onley and Betty Harmon Pitts; her daughters, Pandora Waples and Eula Drummond; her siblings, Beatrice Townsend, Raymond Smith and Harrison Smith; her son-in-law Franklin Thornton, Sr.; her aunt Regina Belmont; and her uncle Ernest Belmont.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shwanda Lockwood (Robert) and Gail Thornton; her sister Deloris Onley; her siblings-in-law, Ann Smith, Marcella Smith and John Townsend, Sr. (Gladys); and her son-in-law Dennard Waples. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
