She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Hertnick and Margaret A. Hertnick (Check); and her sister Joan Patricia "Patty" Greco. She is survived by: her children, Jack (Sarah Dawley), Joseph (Michelle Dawley), Nancye (Michael Yoest) and Mary Dawley of Newton, MA; her grandchildren, Liza, Anna, Maggie, Abby, Sean, Jordan, Ryan and Liam; her nieces and nephews, Michelle (Walt Galloway), Mary (Jeffry Zick), John (Susan Greco) and Gunther (Wynston); and her pet Cassie.
In 2000 and 2001, she participated in the "Last Gasp Charity Ride," where she raised over 1000 dollars by riding from Sandwich to Provincetown.
