It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia A. Averi of Wrentham, Massachusetts, born in Norwood, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Delaney and R. Grace Delaney (Myatt); her husband Edward F. Averi of Mary's Church; and her siblings, Ruth Curran (late Thomas), Irene Shaughnessy (late Skip) and Edward "EJ" Delaney (Jennifer) of Texas.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Clint; her children, Alison A. McCarthy (David Johnson) of Walpole, Paul E. Averi of Walpole, Angela L. LaCivita (Clint) of Wrentham and Edward L. "Ted" Averi (June Casagrande) of Pasadena, California.; her grandchildren, Christopher McCarthy, Britton S. Hoffman (Mackenzie), Paul J. "PJ" Averi and Tyler Monteiro; her great grandchildren, Jazmin, Britton Jr. and Wolfgang; and her siblings, William Delaney (late Marie) of Springfield, Virginia, Timothy Delaney (Kate) of Walpole, Susan McIsaac (late Vinny) of Foxborough and Leo Delaney Jr. (Nancy) of Walpole. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home (48 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Mary's Church (176 Washington St, East Walpole, MA 02032).
