He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen E. Dufel (Brown); and his parents, William F. Dufel and Dorothy A. Dufel (Benton). He is survived by: his children, Ronald H. Dufel (Catherine) of Bonita, CA, David H. Dufel Jr. (Bonnie) of Gloversville, NY, Richie H. Dufel of Edinburg, NY, Michael A. Surro (Denise) of Burrillville, RI, Terri E. Russell (Ken Huber) of Plaistow, NH, Joann Surro of Framingham, MA and Barbara A. Wagner (Kenneth) of Wrentham, MA.; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Michael, Samuel, Jennifer, Sean, Jason, Tracy, David, James, Chet, Ellen, Meghan, Anthony and Josie; and his sister Ruth Gavin of Johnstown, NY.. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Funeral Homes (171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010).
