He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Madison (Boykin); his sister Eula Waire; his children, Anthony Madison and Jaylene Madison; and his parents, Jeffrey Drew and Esther Madison (Sellers).

He is survived by: his children, Jocelyn Madison and William Z. Madison, Jr. of Worcester; his grandchildren, Jahneya Madison, Jahnelle Madison, Louqutia Madison, Amirah Madison, Anthony Madison, Jr., Jaylene Madison, Shamica Johnson and Patrick Madison; his great grandchildren, Josiah and Isaiah; and his brother Heywood Madison (Marilyn) of Worcester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
