Sam H. Hokkanen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam H. Hokkanen of Worcester, Massachusetts, born in Brookline, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 25, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Sam is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sam's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his parents, Toivo Sam Hokkanen and Aili Elizabeth Hokkanen (Nummelin); his wife Debra Ann Hokkanen (Edstrom) of Holden; his brother-in-law David G. Edstrom (Deborah Anne); his goddaughter Kimberly K. Bivens (Harold Bivens); and his great-niece Hannah Bivens (Kane). He is also survived by several cousins and relatives on his father's side; and many close friends.
