He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis J. Gardella and Mildred M. Gardella (Peterson); and his sister Marlene Rodwill. He is survived by: his wife Carole Gardella (Pietrzak); his children, Daniel J. Gardella (Karla), Cynthia L. Wing (David), Amy L. Naffah and Sara E. Gardella; his grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan, Marissa and Josh; his sisters, Joan Lorusso and Janice Batcheldor; and his siblings-in-law, Christine (Fred) and Joe Pietrzak (Jane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
