The passing of Mari (Porter) Seder of Worcester, Massachusetts leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard and Ruth Porter (Perlmutter); her brother-in-law Jim McGuiness; her nephews, Bernie and Josh; and her close friend Wally Andrews.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel L. Seder of Brooklyn, NY, Julie A. Seder of New York City and Betsy L. Seder of New York City and Los Angeles; her grandchildren, Myla and Saul; her brother Alex; her sister-in-law Trudi Porter; and her sister Sara J. Porter.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Temple Emanuel Sinai (661 Salisbury St, Worcester, MA 01609). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at the B'Nai Brith Cemetery (55 St Johns Rd, Worcester, MA 01603). A shiva was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mari's Home.
Instead of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Mari's name to the Jewish Healthcare Center and the Worcester Art Museum.
