We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, Lorraine J. (Gallant) Fontaine of Worcester, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard P. "Bunny" Fontaine; her children, Richard V. Fontaine (Colleen O'Neil) of Charlton, Barry S. Fontaine (Lynne) of Cranston, RI, David M. Fontaine of Paxton, Steven P. Fontaine (Jo) of Auburn, Diane N. Kozakiewicz (Michael) of Rochester, NY, Nancy J. Sorenson of Charlton and Christine L. Case (Daniel) of Dennisport, MA; her sister Jeaninne Laferte of Canton, MA; her parents, Edward J. and Diana M. (Lacroix); her children-in-law, Constance Fontaine and William Sorenson; her granddaughter Emma Fontaine; and her brothers, Lionel Gallant and Roger Gallant. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (12 Hammond St, Worcester, MA 01610). A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Church (228 Lincoln St, Worcester, MA 01605). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Worcester County Memorial Park (217 Richards Ave, Paxton, MA 01612).
Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Fontaine may be made to either Our Lady of Providence Parish 236 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA 01605 or to St. Jude Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
