She was predeceased by: her mother Nina Mae Nicholson; and her siblings, Martha Nicholson, Betty Cox, Robert, Warren and Gary Nicholson.
She is survived by: her husband Douglas Fortune; her pet Sambo; her daughter Buffy Ashcraft of Longs, SC; and her nieces and nephews, Tina Bumgardner (Shawn), Roberta Colquicocha (Luis), Nick Nicholson (Luann), Dawn Swiger (Wade), Toni Colson (Jason), Victoria Buffey, Willie Nicholson (Jennifer), Michael Brown (Emily) and Jessica Hogue.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St, Worcester, MA 01606 and/or the American Cancer Society.
