She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Leal and Aline Leal; and her husband Luigi Ferraro. She is survived by: her daughter Ann Rhoades; her son-in-law Russell Rhoades; her brother Thomas Haggerty (Rosemary); her close friend Joyce Grigaitis; her nephew David Grigaitis (Gina Dicicco); and her great-nephews, David Jr. and Chuck Grigaitis.
She gave herself as a member of Our Lady of Loreto donating as much time as she could to help with Catholic education. She donated a kidney to her daughter thus giving her daughter a chance at life for a second time.
