She is survived by: her children, Ellie, Stephen Diaute (Nanette) of Dedham and Rhonda Schwartz (Russell) of Worcester, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Derek Engelking (Meri) of Washington, DC, Jared Engelking (Caitrin) of Washington, DC and Kelly Barrick (Tommy) of Leesburg, Virginia.; her great grandchild Ella Barrick; and her brother Sam Shaheen of West Roxbury, Massachusetts.. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter, Ellie leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ellie's memory may be made to to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
