He was predeceased by: his siblings, Harold Johnson and Shirley McGrath; his stepfather Charles Paine; and his parents, Sulo Johnson and Impi Johnson Paine (Nivala).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson (Brown); his children, David Johnson Jr. of Worcester and Sheila Williams (Peter) of North Grafton; his grandchildren, Jodi Spokis (Nick) of Worcester and Sean Williams of Shrewsbury; his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Nyles and Olivia; and his siblings, Jack Johnson of Maine and Donna Johnson Flagg of Maine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to St. Jude.
