He was predeceased by: his son Christian J. "C. J." LaVenture; and his parents, Joseph LaVenture and Sandra LaVenture. He is survived by: his children, Dustin LaVenture and Allyson LaVenture (Marcus Ducharme); his significant other Heather Johnson-LaVenture; his brothers, Joseph (Bekki LaVenture) and Daryl LaVenture (Jen Kelley); and his stepmother Judy LaVenture. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
