He was predeceased by: his son Robert L. Welsh; and his parents, Clarence H. E. and Amelia Welsh (Galkauskas). He is survived by: his wife Ruth R. Welsh (Aboody); his children, Joseph A. Welsh of Westminster, CA, Charles J. Welsh (Diane) of Worcester, Deborah A. Poti (Anthony) of Worcester and Rose M. Welsh of Worcester; his brother James Welsh (Jean) of Laurel, MD; and his grandchildren, Matthew R. Welsh, Michelle K. Welsh, Patrick Casey, Kristin E. Poti and Jessica M. Poti. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
