He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Everett Cole and Ruth Cole (Emerson); and his siblings, Margie, Evy, Paul of Nassau and Calvin.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cole (Tobin); his children, John Cole (Martha) of Trenton, ME, Nancy Cole (Peter Rodegast) of West Tisbury, David Cole (Kimberly Foster) of Boylston and Peter Cole (Vanessa) of Leominster; his grandchildren, Ian Cole (Norma Madrid), Stuart Rodegast of West Tisbury, Nicholas Cole of Leominster, Katie Cole (Fred Smigiel), Emily Rodegast (Russom Woldezghi) of Washington, DC and Erin O'Brien (William); and his great grandchildren, Sampson and Ada of Washington, DC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arthur was a 1947 graduate of Northborough High School and played basketball on the high school team which (he claimed) beat the NCAA Div 1 Champions Holy Cross Crusaders in a charity scrimmage.
