He was predeceased by: his brother Oscar Rivera; and his parents, Francisco Rivera and Amelia Rivera (Rosario). He is survived by: his wife Lydia E. Rivera (Bermudez); his children, Wanda Y. Rivera, Carolyn E. Calderon and Angevin Rivera II; and his sister Carmen Melendez. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Flowers may be sent or donations in Angevin's memory may be made to UMASS Cancer Research.
