He is survived by: his parents, Vitaly Kozlov and Olga Kozlov of Worcester; his siblings, Slava Kozlov of New York City and Michelle Gewandter; his brother-in-law Justin Gewandter of Sudbury; his niece Tavi; and his nephews, Benjamin and Maxton.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Alex's memory to Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
