He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Ann McCabe; and his parents, Edward and Mary P. McCabe (Harding). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Joseph "JJ" and Grace McCabe; his brother Edward McCabe (Ann) of Duxbury; his wife Maureen F. McCabe (Power); his sons, Thomas J., Robert A. of Woburn and Joseph E. of Manchester, NH; his sister Joyce Riedel (Thomas) of Tx; and his grandson JJ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.
