Stephen G. Mate Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen G. Mate of Woburn, Massachusetts, born in Everett, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Stephen has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Maté and Alexander Maté (Hungary); and his brother Ernest Maté of Columbia, MD.. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Maté (Beverly) of Melrose, MA; his granddaughters, Haley Maté and Kira Maté of Melrose; and his siblings, Albert Maté (Maryanne) of Billerica, MA and Margaret Weaver (Howard) of Wakefield, MA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
