He was predeceased by: his daughter Jessica McKittrick; and his parents, Jean McKittrick (Marshall) and Leslie J. McKittrick. He is survived by: his grandson John E. "Johnny" Newman III of Dunstable; his siblings, Carlene Falvey (late Henry) of Woburn and Leslie "Whitey" McKittrick Jr. (Michelle) of Woburn; his nieces, Kathryn and Jennifer; and his nephew Andrew.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (686 Washington St, Winchester, MA 01890).
