He was predeceased by: his former wife Judith McCarthy (Peters); his parents, John J. and Margaret (McEnroe); and his brothers, Robert and Paul McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie Lee-McCarthy (Moran) of Woburn; his children, John McCarthy (Marea) of Sudbury, Karen Kennedy of Wakefield and Kevin McCarthy (Heather) of Medfield; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Mitchell, Gabrielle, William, Meaghan and Andrew; his extended family, Kristin Lee-Raymond of Woburn and Michael Lee (Jennifer) of Woburn; his sister-in-law Mary McCarthy of Methuen; and also, Conor, Jack and Sam. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
