James Peter Flaherty Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Peter Flaherty of Woburn, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. and Mary T. Flaherty (Fogarty); and his brother Joseph F. Flaherty (Maggie). He is survived by: his wife Lauren; his children, Joe Flaherty (Lindsey Theriault), Brendan Flaherty (Erin) and Kerry Flaherty; and his siblings, Jack Flaherty of Gloucester, Joan Flaherty Doherty of Framingham and Jane Flaherty of Woburn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
As we struggle to process this immense loss, we've set up a GoFundMe to honor our dad's memory and ease the financial burden brought on by extensive hospital stays and funeral arrangements. On behalf of the Flaherty family, we ask that in lieu of flowers, friends and family consider contributing to this fund to help defray the costs incurred in recent months. To honor Jim's love of our country and his admiration for our nation's heroes, a portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in his name.
