He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Gilgun and Rose Gilgun (O'Donnell); and his siblings, Mary Cullinane, Rose Gilgun, Margaret Collamore, Helen Gilgun, John Gilgun, Jr., Bernard Gilgun, Richard Gilgun and Laurence Gilgun.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dorothy M. Roscillo (Anthony) of Woburn, Patricia M. Harnan (Thomas) of South Boston, Elizabeth M. "Libby" Coveno (Michael) of Burlington and Regina M. Ryan (Michael) of Winchester; his brother David I. Gilgun of Woburn; his wife Dorothy E. Gilgun (Richard); his children, Frederick V. Gilgun, Jr. (Sharon) of Winchester and Rosemary Maher (Robert) of Woburn; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Katherine, Jacqui, Danielle, Kathleen, Jay, Jack, Caroline, Mary, Kate, Luke, Rose, Owen, Faith, Thomas and Patrick; and his great grandchild Thomas. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
