We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2024, Frederick W. Smith of Woburn, Massachusetts, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia R. Smith (Roach); his parents, Frederick Smith and Margaret Smith (McKenna); and his siblings, William F Smith, Richard L Smith and Maureen Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Frederick W. Smith Jr. (Mary) and Patricia Smith (Gregory Carmean); and his grandchildren, Stacie, Beryl Smith, Gregory and Kathleen Carmean.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home (263 Main St, Woburn, MA 01801). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Barbara Church (138 Cambridge Rd, Woburn, MA 01801).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Fred's memory to either Beth Israel Lahey Health, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Office of Philanthropy, 529 Main Street, 4th Floor, Charlestown, MA 02129 or to the St. Barbara Church, the Woburn Catholic Collaborative, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, MA 01801.
