He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kathy" P. Scala (Doherty); his children, Edward Scala Jr. of Sudbury, Stephanie Scala of Windham, NH. and Jennifer Blanchette (Michael) of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Michael, Jacob and Lauren; his sister Carol Bicchieri (Ralph) of Cape Cod; his sister-in-law Helen Doherty of Chelsea; and his niece Robin.
