He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Holthaus (Conley); his parents, John Holthaus and Susan Holthaus (Morris); and his brother Robert J. Holthaus Sr. of Hingham. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Christine Ross of Winthrop and Timothy M. Ross (Susanna) of Winthrop; his grandchildren, Jake P. and Alexandra L. Ross; his nephews, Philip G. Holthaus (Elizabeth) of Scituate, Donald L. Holthaus of Boston and Robert J. Holthaus Jr. (Nancy Lampman) of Humarock; his great-nephews, Matthew and Damian; and his great-niece Amanda.
